Montessori Assistant Teacher
Jess Peyton served as TMS’s Lead Primary Teacher from 2018 to 2023. After taking time off to welcome her daughter, Walker, she is returning to the classroom. Born and raised in Austin, TX, Jess began working with children of all ages in a variety of settings, including summer camps, hospitals, and private homes. She was drawn to the Montessori philosophy for its emphasis on respect and fostering independence in children. Jess holds a MACTE-accredited Montessori credential for the Primary classroom, with a particular passion for the language domain. In June 2015, Jess relocated to Northern Colorado, where she now lives in Old Town with her husband, daughter Walker, and their beloved pets.
