Head of School/Owner
Crystal Koons is the Head of School and Owner at Treehouse Montessori (TMS), where she dedicates her time to research, growth, and the ongoing development of the program. With a strong commitment to building a supportive and inclusive community, her primary goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment for teachers, families, and children alike. Crystal is deeply invested in progressive and innovative approaches to work culture, always striving to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their futures.
Crystal has been with TMS since 2011, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. She holds her Primary Montessori training, the State of Colorado Director’s License in Early Childhood Education, and a degree in Graphic Design. Beyond her work at TMS, she was an active board member of the Colorado Montessori Association since 2017 and served two terms, she also sits on the Family and Consumer Science Board for Poudre School District.
Outside of her professional life, Crystal values quality time with her husband, Jon, and their daughter, Louella. Her family enjoys spending time outdoors, challenging each other in the kitchen, creating lasting memories, and socializing with friends and extended family.
